Want to prevent customers from placing very small orders that aren’t cost-effective for your restaurant? Kiwi lets you easily set a minimum cart total required to complete a purchase.
Here’s how to configure it in just a few clicks:
Step-by-Step Instructions
Log in to Your Kiwi Admin Area
Use your admin credentials to access the Kiwi dashboard.
Go to Store Settings
In the left-hand admin menu, click: Store → Minimum Order.
Set the Minimum Cart Amount
In the field labeled “Minimum Cart Amount To Make a Purchase”:
- Enter the minimum total value you require for an order (e.g., 10, 25, etc.).
- If a customer’s cart total is less than this value, checkout will be restricted.
Customize the Warning Message
In the second field labeled “Message to be displayed on the cart page”:
- Enter a message to inform customers why they can’t check out.
- Example: “The minimum order amount is $25. Please add more items to your cart.”
Save Your Settings
Once you’ve entered the amount and the message, make sure to save the changes.
All set!
Now, if a customer tries to check out with a cart total below your minimum amount, they’ll see your custom message and won’t be able to proceed until they meet the minimum.
Tip: Use clear and friendly language in your message to encourage customers to add more to their order.
